WE finally did it, We made the move from Minneapolis, MN to Northern Wisconsin to a 360 sq. ft home on 5 acres of land made up of very dense hardwood trees. We either donated or threw away half of our belongings to make this move. It was very freeing to be rid of it. Our home is not able to be connected to phone or Internet of any kind. We can not pick up standard TV channels either. The post office say we are not even on the route for mail. We left behind some wonderful friends and family to start a new adventure of living and home schooling.
We have electric but we have no water or plumbing yet. My first night here and I took my first truck stop shower. My two year old son got a wash rag bath at the house. (It's weird saying "house" and not cabin.) My husband has to clear 6 trees and under brush before the well driller can get his truck in to drill. All of us have big learning curve ahead of us.
